Borchard Family

This family has been with me from the beginning, they were my very first session back when I was starting up, and I can see my progress as I look back at all the sessions I have done for them. They are such a sweet family, and so much fun to work with, always. Thank you, Borchards, for always believing in me!

Karina C // Senior

The truth must come out, so here it is: Karina's session was one of my all time favourites. When we first arrived at the park, the sun was still fairly high in the sky, even though I had planned it for golden hour...I was hoping it would come, and it did, in all its radiant glory, and then Karina just all out rocked it.
Karina has such a kind, big heart and she loves her friends well; that is so very obvious, and I think I was able to capture that. I am wishing you all the very best in your last year of high school, Karina, and also - make it to Italy before too much time passes!

Juliana B // Senior

When Juliana first asked me to take her senior photos, she told me that she wanted something different, not the usual senior poses, something unique.
Can I just say yes? I love being creative with shoots, and when your senior is willing to do whatever?? Gold, I tell you.
We had so much fun, and even though the session started out with rain, we took to a nearby parking garage, and during that, Milwaukee literally transformed into the best and most unique light I have ever shot (Milwaukee wins again).
These are some of my favourite images ever, and I hope you love them too, Juliana. Best of luck in your last year of high school and afterwards!

Ben & Elizabeth // Engaged

One thing I love when I am photographing people is raw, real emotion. It connects you to them so easily and makes you feel like you really know them, or you can place yourself into the image and feel what they're feeling in that moment.
Getting real emotion from these two was not hard. Whenever I told Ben to say something funny to Elizabeth to make her laugh, his "what-do-i-say-that's-funny-while-on-the-spot" face was enough to make her laugh, and then him, in turn. In just about every set of photos, I have them smiling, being serious, and then just laughing...all completely unstaged.
I think you can get a good glimpse of their fun relationship from these images because I know I can, and it makes me happy every time.
